Guillory wins second HBCUAC Pitcher of the Week Honor
After posting his second double-digit strikeout performance, Wiley University pitcher Keyon Guillory claims his second Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Pitcher of the Week award for his performance between February 10-16, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Guillory struck out 10 in the HBCUAC opener against Philander Smith on Saturday. He picked up his third win and second complete game, holding the Panthers to a run on one hit. Guillory leads the HBCUAC with a 1.23 ERA and 32 strikeouts and is tied for the lead with three wins. His performance helped the Wildcats sweep Philander Smith. He previously won Pitcher of the Week for January 20-February 2. This is the fourth award won by the Wildcats. Ivan Del Villar and Issac Burciaga earned Player and Pitcher of the Week last week.
