Jacob Perez joined the coaching staff after completing his four-year career with the Wildcats in 2025. In four seasons, he played in 157 games, playing mostly left field. Usually batting second in the order, he had a career batting average of .303, recorded 157 hits, including 38 doubles, two triples and eight home runs. He scored 124 runs with 96 RBI and stole 29 bases in 33 attempts. Defensively, he made 107 putouts and 10 assists in 121 chances. Perez was team captain for four years and helped the Wildcats win the 2024 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference regular season title, the program's first conference championship in 40 years.
