FLOWOOD, Miss. - Wiley University men's soccer player Anthony Ulloa recorded his second hat trick of the season as he led the Wildcats to a 5-3 victory over Talladega College in a Continental Athletic Conference match on Saturday at Liberty Park.

The victory snapped a five-match losing streak, as Wiley picked up its second win in a CAC match. The five goals match a season-high. Ulloa put the Wildcats on the board in the 11th minute. He added goals in the 56th and 65th minutes to increase the lead to four. His goals give him seven for the season, ranks sixth in the Continental Athletic Conference.

Aaron Castillo netted his second goal of the season in the 28th minute. Christopher Haeger tallied his second goal of the year in the 80th minute. Daniel Rojas picked up his first career victory with nine saves on 12 shots.

Wiley (3-8-0, 2-2 CAC) controlled the first half, outshooting the Tornadoes 8-4. Rojas turned away three shots. Talladega was much stronger in the second half, out-shooting the Wildcats 14-5. It scored three goals in the last 20 minutes of the match.

The Wildcats will wait until November 1, to see if they qualify for the 2024 Continental Athletic Conference Championship, held November 9-13 at Georgia Gwinnett College's Grizzly Soccer Complex in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Wiley hasn't played in the postseason since 2016 when it reached the Red River Athletic Conference Championship final.
