Three Men's Soccer athletes earn NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete
Wiley University men's soccer athletes Takumi Ota, Santos Perez and Peter Tu excelled academically while participating in their sport as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recognized them as Fall 2024 Daktronics Scholar-Athletes.
The athletes qualified by maintaining a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, were on a signed eligibility certificate and attended their institution for at least one full year.
After playing in their second season at Wiley University, the athletes earn the honor for the first time. They were three of over 1,000 athletes nationwide that earned the honor.
On the field, the athletes helped the Wildcats win three matches in their second season since the program was reinstated in 2023. Ota is expected to graduate in May.
