Cayasso garners HBCUAC Defensive Player of the Week
After helping the Wildcats to their third straight shutout, defender and captain Juan Cayasso earns Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Cayasso contributed to an impressive defensive performance that didn't allow Oakwood University to get a shot in a 4-0 victory on Saturday. Cayasso also contributed offensively with his first career goal. His performance helped the Wildcats extend their winning streak to three matches.
This is the 15th award won by the Wildcats this season. They begin the second half of HBCUAC play at Paul Quinn College on October 23.
