Garrett qualifies for NAIA National Championship

MAGNOLIA, Ark. - With one opportunity left to qualify for the 2025 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Men's Outdoor Track and Field National Championship, Ronald Garrett made the most of it, posting a qualifying time in the 110-meter hurdles at Southern Arkansas University's Dan Veach Invitational Saturday.

It's the second straight season, Garrett has qualified for the NAIA Championship. He ran 14.45, which surpassed the 'B' qualifying standard by five seconds and was third out of 12 athletes. He ran a leg on the 4 x 400-meter relay with teammates Jaylon Donson, Jaden Cole and Javoun Goldsby, coming within a second of qualifying.

Garrett's time ranks 14th in the NAIA. He will run in the preliminary on May 22 at Indiana Wesleyan University. The final is on May 23. The top eight finishers will earn NAIA All-American. Garrett is seeking to be the first for Wiley since 2018.
