Men's Track and Field set several Season Bests at Dan Veach Invitational

MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Running in its final meet before the 2026 Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference Track and Field Championship, Wiley University men's track and field set personal and best times in several events at Southern Arkansas University Dan Veach Invitational at Mulerider Track and Field Complex on Friday.

 

Wiley ran its top times in the 4 x 100-meter and 4 x 400-meter relays. Darrell Sinegaure, Kemarrius Mayes, Austin Songa and Armani Perry-Brown ran 42.40 in the 4 x 100-meter relay. The 4 x 400-meter relay team of Jaylon Donson, Jai Harden, Earl Hurd Jr. and Jaden Cole won the event in 3:18.18, which was three seconds from the 'B' qualifying standard.

 

Ronald Garrett Jr., who qualified for the NAIA National Championship for the third straight season, set a season-best with a time of 14.38 in the 110-meter hurdles. His time ranks 12th in the NAIA and is one second from his personal best. Javori Terrell set a personal best in the 400-meter dash (51.98). Dwight Bennett Jr. surpassed his best in the 800-meter run (2:06.11). Myrian Blaze set a personal best in the javelin with a throw of 48.73 meters.

 

The Wildcats will run in the 2026 HBCU Athletic Conference Championship on April 30 and May 1 at Lee Hedges Stadium in Shreveport.
