Men's Cross Country drops times at DBU Old Glory Gallop
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Wiley University men's cross country team ran their fastest season times at Dallas Baptist University's Old Glory Gallop Saturday at Lynn Creek Park.
"This was our best race this season," head coach Christopher McConnell said. "Everyone greatly improved their times."
For the fourth time this season, Javoun Goldsby led the Wildcats - finishing the eight-kilometer race in 29:24, which was 10 seconds shy of his personal best. Jaylon Donson followed at 31:47 dropping over three minutes of his time. Joseph Levier III reduced his time by almost four minutes finishing at 32:21.6. Jaden Cole ran 33:50, over four minutes faster than his personal best. Channing Arvie dropped his time by over three minutes - finishing at 34:54.
Next for the Wildcats is the Ouachita Baptist University's Tiger Invitational on Friday, their last meet before the 2024 Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship on October 18.
