Goldsby garners fifth HBCUAC Runner of the Week Award

Wiley University men's cross country athlete Javoun Goldsby brings home his fifth Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Runner of the Week award for his performance from October 7-13, 2024, the conference announced on Monday. This is the seventh award this season.

Goldsby ran 29:57 in the eight-kilometer course at Ouachita Baptist University's Tiger Invitational on Friday. His time topped 28 athletes, mostly from National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II schools. 

This week, Goldsby will look to lead Wiley University to the HBCUAC title when they compete in the 2024 HBCUAC Cross Country Championship hosted by Decatur Morgan County Tourism on Friday at Oakville Indian Mounds Cross Country Course.
