Men's Cross Country closes out Belhaven Invitational
CLINTON, Miss. - Wiley University men's cross country ran in the Belhaven Invitational at Choctaw Trails on Saturday.
The Wildcats finished fourth out of eight schools, outpacing National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I school Mississippi Valley State University and Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference schools Tougaloo College and Dillard University.
Javoun Goldsby, the defending HBCUAC individual champion and Preseason Runner of the Year, led the Wildcats, finishing the eight-kilometer course in 29:41.80. He was followed by HBCUAC weekly award winners Dwight Bennett Jr. (30:23.21) and Earl Hurd Jr. (30:24.13). All-HBCUAC runners Ameariun Harper (31:59.55) and Jaylon Donson (32:32.98) rounded out Wiley's performance.
The Wildcats will head to Dallas Baptist University's Old Glory Gallop on October 11 for their final race before the 2025 HBCUAC Championship on October 17.
