Women's Soccer takes on LeTourneau
Wiley University women's soccer continues its season-opening road trip in Longview against National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III school LeTourneau University at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The game will stream live on Flo College Sports, which requires a subscription to view. Live statistics are available at no charge. The links are listed in the women's soccer schedule on wileyathletics.com.
The Lady Wildcats are seeking to continue their historic start and extend their four-match winning streak. The program's longest winning streak was six matches in 2017 (Sept. 8-Oct. 7). Nadia Hernandez, Deyanara Hernandez and Feryi Sanchez each scored two goals in three matches. Mirana Quijano picked up two more victories as starting goalkeeper and her first career shutout.

BY THE NUMBERS
17: Players have started a match for the Lady Wildcats this season. Goalkeeper Mariana Quijano, defender Carissa Escamilla, forward Samantha Rodriguez, midfielders Nadia Herandez and Yajaira Hernandez are the only ones who have started all four matches.
12: The Lady Wildcats have scored 12 goals in four matches. It's most they've scored in their first four matches since 2015 when they scored 16.
7: Seven different players have scored for the Lady Wildcats. Four have multiple goals.
5: The Lady Wildcats conclude a five-match road trip this week. After Tuesday's match, it will play at Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
4: The Lady Wildcats are scheduled to play four matches against NCAA Division III schools. After playing Centenary College of Louisiana and Huntingdon College on September 5 and 6, they will visit LeTourneau on Tuesday and East Texas Baptist University on October 1.
3: Three players have earned Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference honors. Yajaira Hernandez and Samantha Rodriguez were selected to the Preseason All-HBCUAC Team. Cynthia Lopez earned Newcomer of the Week in the first week of the season.
1: The Lady Wildcats won their first match on Friday under head coach Andrew Benitez when surrendering the first goal and trailing at halftime. It's the first time they've won when allowing the first goal since November 8, 2015 and trailing at halftime since September 11, 2015.
This season's team is the only one to open with four consecutive wins. The 2015 team was the only other one that opened with three straight wins.
The Lady Wildcats have only allowed one second-half goal in their first four matches. They've outscored their opponents 7-1 in the second half.
Tuesday will mark the first meeting between the Lady Wildcats and Lady Yellow Jackets.
