Women's Soccer wraps home schedule against Oakwood, Huston-Tillotson

Wiley University women's soccer completes the 2025 home schedule against Oakwood University on Saturday at Tatum High School and a Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference match against Huston-Tillotson University on Monday at Pemberton Field.
 
Saturday's match starts at 7 p.m. and Monday's match starts at noon. Live statistics will be available for both matches.
 
The Lady Wildcats (6-3-0, 1-0-0 HBCUAC) are on a two-match winning streak after opening HBCUAC play with a 3-1 victory over Paul Quinn College on Saturday. Deyanara Hernandez netted her fourth goal and second assist. Feryi Sanchez scored her fourth goal of the season, while Alexse Orozco scored her second and first game-winner. Hernandez (Offensive), Sanchez (Freshman) and goalkeeper Mariana Quijano (Goalkeeper) earned HBCUAC Player of the Week awards.
 
Oakwood (0-3-1, 0-1-1 HBCUAC) is searching for its first victory. It has been outscored 49-1. Daiely Regus scored the lone goal for the Ambassadors. Renee Wisdom has seen the most action at goalkeeper. She has made 13 saves on 39 shots.
 
Huston-Tillotson (4-5-1, 1-0-0 HBCUAC) snapped a two-match losing streak with a 1-0 victory over Paul Quinn College on Thursday. Caroline Valencia, with four goals and Jerusalem Rodriguez-Gamez, with three goals and two assists, lead the Rams in scoring. Citlaly Vences and Juliet Morales-Martinez have split time in the net. Vences has made 29 saves on 39 shots. Morales-Martinez has 17 saves on 22 shots.
 
Saturday's match will be the first meeting between the Lady Wildcats and Ambassadors. Wiley and Huston-Tillotson meet for the seventh time. They competed against each other in the Red River Athletic Conference from 2012-2018. Wiley trails 3-2-1 in the series. The winner of Monday's match could hold first in the HBCUAC West Division.
