Women's Track and Field complete FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Classic
The Wiley University women's track and field team competed at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Classic at the University of Houston's Yeoman Fieldhouse for their third meet of the season on Saturday.
Kaitlyn Charles made her collegiate debut and ran 8.08 in the 60-meter dash. Her time was 0.44 seconds from the 'B' national championship qualifying standard.
Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo jumped 5.22 meters in the long jump, which was 0.39 meters from the 'B' qualifying standard. She leaped 11.03 meters in the triple jump, which was third among 11 competitors. Her distance was 0.46 meters from the 'B' qualifying standard.
Kaiden Taylor led the team in the 200-meter dash. Anndrea Reed ran the team's top time in the 400-meter dash. Tikeria Miller led Wiley in the shot put and weight throw.
The Lady Wildcats will compete in Northwest Missouri State University's Friday Night Lights Last Chance Meet, hoping to gain qualifiers for the 2026 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Indoor Track and Field National Championship.
