Three Women's Track and Field Athletes set Personal Bests at Louisiana Classics
LAFAYETTE, La. — Wiley University women's track and field athletes recorded several personal bests and top-20 finishes during a busy two-day slate at the Louisiana Classics, hosted by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on Friday and Saturday.
The Lady Wildcats showed depth across the sprints, hurdles, and field events, highlighted by a top-10 relay finish and strong individual efforts from both veteran leaders and emerging freshmen.
Sprints and Hurdles
Freshman Katilyn Charles led the way in the short sprints, clocking a 12.83-second finish in the 100-meter dash to place 30th in a crowded field. She followed that performance with a 27.14-second run in the 200-meter dash. Junior Kyla Deyon also competed in the 100-meter, finishing in 13.53 seconds.
In the 400-meter dash, junior Kaiden Taylor set a new personal record, crossing the line in 1:01.90 to take 26th place. Senior Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo followed closely in 28th with a time of 1:02.45, while freshman Kiara Miles finished in 1:07.61.
The hurdles saw junior Malajia Bocage and freshman Logan Montgomery finish back-to-back in the 400-meter hurdles, placing 14th (1:18.31) and 15th (1:19.67), respectively.
Mid-Distance and Relays
The Lady Wildcats' 4x400-meter relay "A" team — comprised of Taylor, Remi Pierre, Aaliyah Evans, and Tutt-Moutouo — secured a 10th-place finish with a combined time of 4:19.91.
In individual mid-distance action, Evans paced the team in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:44.36. Senior Samaera Womack followed just behind her, clocking a personal-best 2:44.95.
Field Events
The throwing squad was anchored by freshman Tikeria Miller, who earned the team's highest individual placement of the weekend. Miller took 18th in the shot put with a toss of 9.89 meters (32-05.50) and added a 28th-place finish in the discus (31.40 meters).

Chrisonie Darden-Sanders: 19th in shot put (9.75m) and 30th in hammer throw (21.67m).

Elisa Clay: Set a personal record in the shot put with a mark of 8.10 meters.

Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo: Placed 25th in the long jump with a leap of 5.02 meters (16-05.75).
The Lady Wildcats will look to build on these personal bests as they continue their outdoor campaign.
Wiley University sponsors 13 varsity sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's and women's outdoor track and field, baseball and softball.
