Women's Track and Field impress at Bryan Phillips Open
SEARCY, Ark. – Led by a standout performance from the 4x400-meter relay team and a string of top-eight finishes in the field events, Wiley University women's track and field showcased its depth Saturday at the Stallion Transportation Bryan Phillips Open.
The Lady Wildcats faced stiff competition at the Ted Lloyd Track, hosted by Harding University, recording several personal bests and high-ranking finishes across both track and field disciplines.
Relay and Track Highlights
The highlight of the day came in the 4x400-meter relay, where the quartet of Kelechi Dike, Kaiden Taylor, Aaliyah Evans, and Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo combined for a fourth-place finish. Their time of 4:03.40 secured the team's highest placement of the meet.
In individual track events, Malajia Bocage paced the hurdles crew. Bocage finished eighth in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 15.67 seconds. She also notched a personal best in the 100-meter dash (13.16).
Junior Kelechi Dike narrowly missed a top-eight spot in a crowded 400-meter dash field, finishing 10th while setting a personal record of 58.36 seconds.
Field Success
Wiley's jumpers and specialists provided the bulk of the team's top-eight results:

Triple Jump: Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo led the way with a sixth-place finish, leaping 10.53 meters. She was followed closely by Kyla Deyon, who took seventh with a mark of 10.04 meters.

Long Jump: I'Najia Jefferson secured a sixth-place finish with a jump of 4.90 meters.

High Jump: Tutt-Moutouo added another top-eight finish to her resume, tying for eighth by clearing 1.43 meters.
Personal Bests
Beyond the leaderboard, several Lady Wildcats hit career-best marks during the competition:

Kiara Miles: Recorded personal bests in both the 200-meter (28.27) and 400-meter (1:05.07) dashes.

Logan Montgomery: Set a new personal standard in the 400-meter hurdles (1:15.47).

Tikeria Miller: Established a personal best in the discus with a throw of 33.40 meters.
Wiley University will look to build on this momentum as they continue their outdoor campaign heading into championship season.
Wiley University sponsors 13 varsity sports: women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's and women's outdoor track and field, baseball and softball.
