Women's Track and Field excel at Dan Veach Invitational

MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Wiley University women's track and field set personal bests in the 100-meter dash, 4 x 100-meter relay and the discus throw at Southern Arkansas University's Dan Veach Invitational at the Mulerider Track and Field complex Friday.
 
The meet was the last for the Lady Wildcats before they compete in the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference Championship.
 
Kaitlyn Charles ran 12.33 in the 100-meter dash, finishing fifth out of 19 runners. Three of the runners who finished ahead of her were from NCAA schools. Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo also ran her best time at 12.60. Both athletes contributed to the 4x100-meter relay, alongside Kaiden Taylor and Anndrea Reed. They ran 48.83, which was second - .05 seconds behind the host Muleriders. Taylor finished fifth in the 400-meter dash.
 
Tikeria Miller broke her personal best with a distance of 34.95 meters in the discus. She finished fourth out of eight athletes. Miller also finished third in the hammer throw with a distance of 35.26 meters.
 
The Lady Wildcats will compete in the 2026 HBCUAC Track and Field Championship at Lee Hedges Stadium in Shreveport on May 1.
