Wiley University volleyball completes the first half of Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) play with a road match at Philander Smith University scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at Mims Gymnasium.
 
The match will stream on the Urban Edge Network, which can be viewed online or downloaded to mobile devices via the app. Live statistics will also be available. The links are listed in the volleyball schedule on wileyathletics.com.
 
The Lady Wildcats (3-6, 2-3 HBCUAC) look to snap a two-match losing streak. Shyla Starks ranks fifth in the conference with 2.65 kills per set. Nadia Cortez is tied for first with 0.71 services aces per set. Madison Herrera has moved into fifth with 5.54 assists per set. Wiley holds a one-match advantage over Philander Smith for fourth place in the West Division. It seeks its first victory against the Lady Panthers since joining the HBCU Athletic Conference and first overall since 2018. The Lady Wildcats hold a 7-6 lead in the series.
 
Philander Smith (7-8, 1-4 HBCUAC) is coming off a sweep over Rust College on Tuesday. It has lost its last three conference matches. Aleira Lane and Ja'Niya Sanders lead the attack with 103 and 102 kills, respectively. Essence Wren ranks second in the conference with 6.28 assists per set. Christlove Lature leads the HBCUAC with five digs per set. Angelle Thibeaux ranks second with one block per set.
