Pierre runs personal best at OBU Tiger Invitational
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Running in her second collegiate meet, Wiley University women's cross country athlete Remi Pierre set a personal best at Ouachita Baptist University's Tiger Invitational on Friday.
Pierre finished the five-kilometer course in 26:40.7, more than two minutes faster than her debut time. Kaiden Taylor ran 27:25.8, 35 seconds shy of her best set last season. JaKatelyn Thomas followed at 29:03.2. Kyla Deyon finished at 32:31.4.
The Lady Wildcats competed against athletes from National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II schools. Next week they will head to Danville, Ala. for the 2024 Decatur Morgan County Tourism Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference Championship at Oakville Indian Mounds Park. Wiley seeks its first title since 2014 when it won the Red River Athletic Conference.
