Womack earns All-HBCUAC; Women's Cross Country wraps 2025 Season

DANVILLE, Ala. - Wiley University women's cross country freshman Samarea Womack completes her season with an All-Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) finish as the Lady Wildcats concluded the 2025 season with a third-place finish at the 2025 HBCUAC Cross Country Championship at Oakville Indian Mounds Education Center.

 

Womack finished 10th - completing the six-kilometer course with a personal best 28:46.92, which was nearly three minutes faster than her previous best. Kaiden Taylor followed at 29:38.27, which was a season-best. Remi Pierre ran a season-best 32:12.40. Freshman Inajia Jefferson finished with a personal best 33:26.74. Jakatelyn Thomas ran a season-best 33:49.41 to round out the Lady Wildcats' result.

 

Talladega won the championship with all five of their runners finishing in the top 10. Dillard finished as a distant runner-up.

 

Jean Marie-Farinha and Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo will graduate in the spring. The Lady Wildcats return a strong core that head coach Christopher McConnell will look to strengthen as they look to contend for the title in the fall of 2026.
