Farinha, Tutt-Moutouo, Pegese earn NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete

Wiley University women's cross country athletes Jean-Marie Farinha, Meeyesha Tutt-Moutouo and SuKanya Pegese earned recognition for their academic performance by being named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes.

The athletes were among 6,486 across the country, who maintained a 3.5 culmulative grade-point average or higher while competing. This is the third time Farinha has earned the honor. She has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, also serving as the Student Government Association president and an active member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Last spring she earned the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) Elite 9 Academic Award presented by Blooksy for holding the highest track and field GPA in the conference.

This is the first time Tutt-Moutouo and Pegese have earned the award.
