SEARCY, Ark. – The Wiley University men's track and field team secured multiple top-eight finishes and several personal records Saturday at the Stallion Transportation Bryan Phillips Open, hosted by Harding University at Ted Lloyd Track.

The Wildcats' 400-meter runners led the way in the individual track events. Jaden Cole posted a seventh-place finish with a personal-best time of 48.79 seconds. He was followed immediately by teammate Jaylon Donson, who took eighth place while also setting a personal record at 49.32 seconds.

Wiley's relay teams maintained the momentum in the 4x400-meter relay. The "A" squad, comprised of Jai Harden, Earl Hurd, Donson, and Cole, finished fourth with a time of 3:22.01. The "B" team, featuring Javori Terrell, Austin Songa, Ryan Jackson Jr., and Alex Williams, also landed in the top eight, placing eighth in 3:30.60.

In the field events, freshman Caleb Sowell earned a sixth-place finish in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 6.75 meters. Fellow freshman Myrian Blaze contributed to the team's top-eight tally in the javelin, placing eighth with a throw of 46.87 meters.

Several other Wildcats reached personal milestones during the meet despite finishing outside the top eight. Kemarrius Mayes clocked a personal best of 11.01 seconds in the 100-meter dash, while Sowell added personal bests in both the 100-meter (11.44) and 200-meter (23.43) dashes.
