Men's Basketball hosts Paul Quinn College in Regular Season Finale

Wiley University men's basketball closes the 2025-26 regular season at 5 p.m. Thursday against Paul Quinn College inside Alumni Gymnasium.

Seniors Zahyem Bradwell, Brayden Bradshaw, Cortez Collins and Shamir Mosley will be honored before the game. The Wildcats (1-19, 0-11 HBCUAC) are still looking for their first win since the season opener on October 25 after their rally fell short in a 73-70 loss against Huston-Tillotson University on Tuesday. The loss guaranteed that the Wildcats will be the seventh seed in the West for next week's Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) 2026 Hope Credit Union Basketball Championship.

Shamir Mosley recorded his sixth game with 20 or more points with 25 - hitting seven of 11 shots. He also led the team with eight assists and four steals. LaRonte McHenry followed with 13 points and five rebounds. Caleibria McDonald led the team with eight rebounds.

Wiley trailed 38-33 at halftime. It had a five-minute stretch in the second half where it only made one field goal, which allowed the Rams to increase the margin to 15 with 12:27 remaining. Three-pointers by McHenry and Mosley cut the deficit to four with 8:50 left. The Rams pushed the lead back to 11. A 3-pointer by McHenry, a layup by Mosley and a dunk by Collins pulled the Wildcats within two with 2:20 remaining. They weren't able to get closer.
In Thursday's game, the Wildcats will look to avenge a 107-53 loss they suffered on January 8 in Dallas. They shot 29.8 percent from the field while allowing Paul Quinn to shoot 54.3 percent. Wiley hasn't beat the Tigers since January 9, 2020.

Paul Quinn (7-17, 3-8 HBCUAC) has lost its last eight games and seeks its first win since January 15 against Dillard. It has only won one of its 10 road games. Rust College transfer Isaiah McCallum leads the Tigers with 12 points per game. Mekhi Johnson follows with 10.6 points and leads the team with 8.5 rebounds per game, which ranks third in the HBCUAC. Freshman TJ Mitchell averages 8.6 points per game and ranks third in the conference with a 47.3 three-point field goal percentage. With Wiley's loss on Saturday, Paul Quinn secured the fifth seed.

The game will stream on the Urban Edge Network. Live statistics will also be available.
